Why Invest In Property In Armenia

Purchasing property in Armenia is not exactly at the top of a lot of people’s lists, but this mentality is slowly changing as the realisation sets in that it is a very cheap and liveable country for those wishing to move there. Crime levels in tourist regions are virtually non-existent, apartments and houses are widely available and almost criminally cheap and the increased stability in the nation does not look like it will regress at any point soon.

Yerevan is the most popular and populated place in Armenia, and property prices reflect this – they are sometimes double the cost of houses elsewhere. Whilst this is true, the prices are still very low indeed, with modern city centre flats known to sell for around £15,000 and less. Further away from the capital prices drop to even lower levels, and some areas land is quite literally given away. This really is a bargainous country, and the vast majority of negative connotations attached to the nation are unfounded or exaggerated.

Whilst the economy of Armenia is not particularly strong as of right now, small growth has been experienced in recent years. This slow but steady turnaround shows that investments in the country – whilst by no means safe – are likely to appreciate given time. The friendly people, beautiful sights and rich history, along with fantastically cheap housing prices and relatively liberal property ownership laws make Armenia a country that should be looked into by the potential off plan investor.
